Metro are all about the Manchester United gossip here in the Football Transfer Tavern today.
After they claimed that Wilfried Zaha stormed out of a meeting with David Moyes, our landlord notes that it is not hard to see why they are one of our favourite publications.
After being told that his loan move was about to be denied due to the injuries racking up thick and fast at Old Trafford, Zaha did not exactly take the news very well, with a temper tantrum worthy of some of our tipsiest punters when their sides lose on the big screen.
Moyes of course predictably denied these claims, noting that there was no issue between himself and the 21-year-old.
“I had a 30 seconds chat on the training pitch today and we were talking away. So there was nothing like that,” said Moyes.
“He is a Manchester United player, that’s what he is.”
One of our punters points out that the fact that Moyes thinks a 30 second chat constitutes things being ok speaks enough in itself, and there is clearly something wrong with the relationship between the former Crystal Palace star and his manager.
Yes, Moyes did not buy Zaha, but there is no doubt he has bundles of talent and we are simply shocked that he does not feature more regularly in a struggling Red Devils outfit.
What will happen to Zaha now? Let us know your thoughts below.
