Manchester United fans are desperate to hear what the Daily Express have to say here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the publication has an update on the situation surrounding Radamel Falcao.
The Red Devils can sign Falcao permanently for £43 million but after the Colombian forward was dropped for the weekend fixture against Southampton, the rumours once again started to circle around the player.
However it seems that even if Manchester United do not want him, there could well be a fair few clubs that do and at least one from Serie A.
Falcao’s agent Jorge Mendes claimed: “Radamel Falcao to Italy? He is a very good player.
“Manchester United’s fans have a fantastic player. He could play in any team and anything could happen.
“What is one hundred per cent certain is that he will play for one of the best teams in the world, either for Manchester United or somewhere else.
“But it will all be decided in time. We’ll see what happens.”
We think that is a timely reminder for van Gaal regarding just how good the forward can be although given how stubborn the Dutchman is at times, we think that he may not be persuaded by a couple of remarks from an agent who would cash in from a big money permanent move.
