Manchester United made it six consecutive Premier League victories with their 3-0 win over Liverpool on earlier today and Red Devils supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern have been getting the drinks in ever since.
And what perhaps is the most exciting for United fans is the way in which the performances haven’t been anywhere near the level of which they are capable.
World class goalkeeping from David De Gea and ruthless finishing from the likes of Robin van Persie have been key factors in the club’s recent upturn in fortunes, so much so that some are even hinting at a possible push for the title in the New Year.
If that is to be the case, United will have to continue their winning run through the testing Christmas and New Year period, knowing that if they are still in touch by the start of 2015 – anything is possible.
They will also need a big slice of fortune along the way with regards to injuries and perhaps transfer business, and will certainly be looking to avoid the five of these worst case scenarios we have identified for them over the next few weeks.
