Mancini’s £50M Masterplan Would Be Moyes’ ‘End Of Days’

Being a blue in Manchester is certainly something to smile about at the moment. After winning your first trophy in 35 years and securing a Champions league spot, it is now time to sit back and watch your mega rich owners allow Mancini the freedom to home in on as much talent as he can get his clutches into, and as money is not an problem it doesn’t look to bright for the rest of us…

Especially if you’re a blue in Liverpool…

According to caughtofffside.com the Italian is ready to move in for Everton due Leighton Baines and Jack Rodwell and offer a mouth dropping £50 million to swoop both England stars away from their North-West neighbours.

Everton may find it impossible to turn that sort of money down. Frustrating as it is for the Goodison faithful the club is believed to be £45 million in debt and the two sought after individuals are seen as there most sellable asset and could be the key to wiping the slate clean.

The toffees have not lifted a trophy since 1995 and as the seasons pass us by we have watched the Merseyside’s take one step forward then two steps back.

Baines has had four tremendous years at Goodison since signing for around £6 million from Wigan, and has been sensational this campaign which has attracted various clubs to admit their interest, the likes of bitter rivals Liverpool, Arsenal and City. The chance of Champions league football could certainly be a key factor in his decision.

If I was one of the 40 odd thousand fans paying money to watch the evertonians each week the question would been on the tip of my tongue, what ambition does the club have? They are on the verge of losing another one of the country’s top prospects as the likes of United, City and Arsenal sniff around Jack Rodwell, flashbacks to the Rooney transfer.

I’m not sure how much longer David Moyes will remain at the club, especially if there is any truth in this rumour and if he is not able to reinvest the cash to bring in quality replacements… But remember, this is City and they are linked with just about anybody.

I am pursuing a career in journalism. I am a big Arsenal fan and use to love nothing more than travelling the country watching the Arsenal week in week out. I say (use) to love, I’m 100% sure i still would love it... The greatest player ever to grace the premiership is Thierry Henry in my book. Football aside, only fools and horses it is....
