Liverpool: Fans plead with Jurgen Klopp to start Marcelo Pitaluga against Everton

Loads of Liverpool fans were delighted to see a new goalkeeper come through the gates of Melwood and urged Jurgen Klopp to start him in their next match.

The man concerned is Marcelo Pitaluga, a 17-year-old who was unveiled on the club’s official website on Thursday after arriving from the Brazilian side Fluminense. Having been part of the Brazil squad that won the Under-17 World Cup last November, the youngster arrives with a promising track record of success.

Pitaluga may have arrived at Liverpool at the right time after the Reds fell to a shocking 7-2 defeat at Aston Villa last weekend, with some fans heavily scrutinising the showing of second choice shot-stopper Adrian.

With Alisson Becker expected to be out for up to six weeks, Klopp has a decision to make during the international break before they face league leaders Everton at Goodison Park on their return.

With this in mind, some Liverpool supporters are keen to see Pitaluga start against their rivals from across Stanley Park, as they aim to erase the nightmare of Villa Park from their memories.
