Nottingham Forest: Fans describe Mark Warburton’s tenure at the club

Share

QPR are the visitors to the City Ground this weekend and that means the return of Mark Warburton to the club, having left the Midlands in 2017.

His tenure was short-lived but he did help to keep the Reds up at the end of the 2016/17 season, and for that reason, some supporters remember him fondly. However, he failed to build on that success and Forest were underachieving by Christmas time in the following season, and Warburton was relieved of his duties following a 1-0 home defeat by Sunderland, who were relegated that term.

In total, he won 15 of 37 games in charge but lost 19, and that shows he was far from a long-term success during his spell at the club.

As a result, it is little surprise that some fans don’t hold him in high regard, and there have been harsh remarks made about him in response to a question asking fans to sum up his reign in one word ahead of his return to the City Ground with QPR tomorrow.

Some of those reactions are shown below.
