Since Marcelo Bielsa came into Elland Road he’s turned things upside down. At first, there was a lot of panic over the lack of signings as a large number of players were loaned out and sold. Mateusz Klich is one man who has seen the benefits of Bielsa and speaking to The Yorkshire Evening Post he’s determined to make the most of his second chance.

The Polish midfielder was frozen out for a lot of last season and the supporters are only starting to realise how much of a mistake that was as the 28-year-old has taken the start of the season by storm, scoring twice and registering an assist in first two league games under Bielsa. Those goals haven’t been against anyone, either, as Klich has found the net against promotion chasing Stoke and Derby, making it all the more impressive.
The Polish midfielder signed for The Whites from FC Twente back in summer 2017 but failed to make an impact at the club in the first half of the 2017/18 season. Unfortunately, the 28-year-old found himself surplus to requirements under Thomas Christiansen and he was loaned back to The Eredivisie to play for FC Utrecht for the second half of the season. He’s not showing everyone how silly that decision is as he aims to get more goals and further show the fans his worth.
