Michael Edwards is something of a popular figure at Liverpool.
The Reds’ sporting director has worked some magic in recent years, signing the likes of Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Salah whilst also picking up £15m+ for each of Dominic Solanke and Jordon Ibe. The fans appear to love him, and they have had another chance to show their appreciation recently.
In terms of transfer business, the current pandemic has likely prevented Edwards from getting too much done, meaning he has plenty of time on his hands. Therefore, he has been attempting to recreate Curtis Jones’ goal against Everton in the FA Cup third round this year, and the video of his effort was shared on the club’s official Twitter page.
Unsurprisingly, the supporters absolutely love the video and have made their feelings known. They have been showing their delight on the social media platform, with one supporter even calling him a ‘God gifted man‘.
