MLS move still on the cards for Bojan

Bojan

Stoke City could still see a player leave the club this winter, despite the transfer window in England having shut on Thursday.

According to a report by The Sun, Bojan is still attracting interest from New England Revolution in the MLS.

The American club, who are managed by Brad Friedel, are thought to be keen on the 28-year-old and have offered him the chance to almost double his wages to join them.

The Revs are believed to be prepared to give the former Barcelona starlet £50,000-a-week to help them improve in the MLS and have until May 1 to try and get a deal done.

However, Nathan Jones is said to be desperate to keep Bojan, who is a fan favourite, at the bet365 Stadium as they look to turn things around in the Championship.

It is also understood that the Spaniard is happy to remain at the club and fight for his place after being left out of the team under Gary Rowett.

The Verdict:

Jones’ desire to keep Bojan at the club could help them fend off the interest from New England this winter.

The Spaniard appears to be a part of the new manager’s plans at Stoke and made a return to the starting line up at the weekend.

However, with the chance of doubling his wages in the MLS, as well as the fact that their window does not close until May, it could be a testing time for the Championship outfit.
