Marco Silva has already had one busy transfer window this summer, signing six players including Richarlison, Yerry Mina, Kurt Zouma (loan), Andre Gomes (loan), Lucas Digne and Bernard, but it doesn’t look like he’s ready to stop.
Everton currently sit in 9th place on a good run of form, and if they continue playing the way they have been under their new boss there’s no reason they can’t make it into the top six this year.
Indeed, with Silva proving his worth in the transfer market already, the Everton boardroom could be willing to inject more cash to help the team’s passage into pole position for a European spot.
That said, here are two players Silva should look to sign this January…

Reports from the Daily Mail suggest that Everton could be in for the Serbian, who’s currently playing for Benfica, this January.
The forward has earned quite the name for himself over the years as one of the brightest prospects in European football, and having appeared for Partizan Belgrade from a very early age, and breaking the record for Serbia’s youngest ever international starter at 17, he’s now made slowly making his way over to the Premier League (if reports are correct).
He’s known for being an incredibly tricky player who enjoys spending time in the forward positions as an inverted winger or no. 10, and he’s bee around the game long enough to develop a mature approach to creative play and distribution.
This could be a perfect replacement for Theo Walcott who hasn’t exactly been particularly good or bad.
Emiliano Sala
The Liverpool Echo have claimed that Marco Silva is interested in signing Argentine Emiliano Sala this January.
Indeed, Sala, who boasts a very impressive record of 11 goals in 12 games for Nantes so far this season, could well be the answer to Everton’s striker problem.
He poses an obvious aerial threat, and although he isn’t the most mobile of players, he makes use of the space well with his excellent sense of positioning.
Everton’s only other strikers Tosun, Calvert-Lewin and Oumar Niasse aren’t exactly the pinnacle of quality so there’s no reason the club shouldn’t try for this natural born scorer.
