Most wanted: These 2 Everton players will surely be men in demand this summer

The future is looking extremely rosy for our resident Everton fans inside the Transfer Tavern.

Ronald Koeman has got his side playing some good football of late and recent results have been mainly positive.

Indeed, our landlord believes that another strong transfer window for the Toffees may well see them challenging the top four next season – especially when combined with the amount of youth coming through for the blue half of Merseyside.

However, it is not that simple for the resident Toffees in the Transfer Tavern because they know too well that when good performances are put in, bigger clubs come knocking on your door and will knock harder and harder until they get what they want. This has led to many Everton fans in the Tavern worried about who may be in demand for the bigger clubs this summer.

Although fans never want to see their best players leave, the discussion has been very interesting as to who may well leave Everton this summer. Here are the two names being thrown around the Transfer Tavern…

Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku is a player that Everton simply cannot afford to let go if they want to progress onto bigger and better things in the near future but our landlord knows that the big Belgian won’t want to wait around forever to see Everton achieve this.

Everton chiefs are surely preparing themselves for a bombardment of bids for their current top scorer and time will only tell if they can hold out.

James McCarthy

A current abundance in quality in the centre-midfield position at Everton may well alert clubs to try and take James McCarthy away from Goodison Park.

The Irishman has played his part in Ronald Koeman’s side this season despite picking up the occasional injury but January interest from Celtic did not go unnoticed by our landlord who believes McCarthy may be the player Brendan Rodgers is looking for to continue his revolution at Celtic.
