‘Music to my ears’ – Liverpool fans given hope by latest twist in transfer saga

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be getting their hopes up again of seeing Nabil Fekir unveiled at Anfield. The 24-year-old versatile attacking midfielder could still be on his way to Merseyside this summer, if this report in the Daily Mirror is anything to go by. The story claims that Lyon are looking at ways to resurrect the deal as the player is desperate for the move.

It seems that Fekir isn’t the only one who’s keen for the deal to go through as the fans have all been showing their relief at the fact that they still may end up with the player. The club has been looking at ways to bolster their midfield since the end of the season and the signing of Fabinho from Monaco was a superb move by Jurgen Klopp, who’s added some defensive balance to a very gung-ho side.

The Kopites haven’t forgotten that Naby Keita will officially be a Liverpool player on July 1st too, after Klopp agreed on a deal last summer. Now though, the emphasis for the German manager’s reinforcements seem to be in attacking midfield and across the front-line, with Xherdan Shaqiri also a name mentioned. Whilst this is all well and good, the fans are keen to stress that they also need a quality shot-stopper, to take over from Loris Karius.
