Chelsea fans were crammed into the Transfer Tavern on Monday evening to watch their team compete in the FA Youth Cup. The Blues’ under-18 age group have has been a hub of success in the competition over the last few years, and they had a chance of making it five straight wins in the final.
Fortunately, they had a 3-1 lead going into the game from the first leg, and so expectations were high.
In typical fashion, though, the youth team blew all of their expectations out of the water, ending the game as 4-0 winners – with a 7-1 result on aggregate enough to seal another famous win for the club.
Following the game, many fans were, naturally, discussing the performance of the young Blues, but it was an older player that was generating perhaps even more discussion – and that was Cesar Azpilicueta.
The Spaniard, who has become a hugely important member of the club over the last few years, sent a brilliant message of support to the team following the win, and it’s fair to say that it didn’t go ignored by fans.

Indeed, they’ve spent the last few hours responding to the Spaniard, with supporters absolutely loving what he said.
Of course, he’s become very popular for his brilliant performances on the field, and his actions off the field appear to be generating just as much happiness.
