Everton have continued their impressive start to the Premier League season as they most recently kept unbeaten Chelsea quiet.
That draw cements their 9th position right now but Everton will be hoping for more in their next games, with eyes firmly locked on Europa League qualification if possible.
Better results could be a lot easier to achieve if they had a reliable goalscorer they could turn to every game. With Richarlison doing a great job in making up for the lack of goals when playing out of position up-front, the Toffees must fix their problems by signing Brentford’s Neal Maupay in January.
Maupay, (who is valued at £4.5 million on Transfermarkt) is a striker that has all the qualities to succeed at a top club like Everton.
A proper out-and-out goal-getter that will only get better. Maupay is the Championship’s top goalscorer, leading the way with 12 goals as well as adding a further six assists to his tally so far this season.
It shows that despite a lack of quality around him, Maupay is capable of conjuring up his own chances and putting the ball in the back of the net regardless.
Everton need a goalscorer with that ability, having seen Cenk Tosun among others become goal-shy this season.
Goodison Park is already a much happier place with Marco Silva in charge and things would only get better if Everton could find a top goalscorer to turn to.
At just 22, Maupay has adjusted to life in England with ease, which leads many to believe he is perfect for a jump up into the top flight, where Everton are eagerly awaiting a striker like the Frenchman.
