It has been a very exciting season for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern. They’re two games away from a European final, whilst they also stand a very good chance of finishing inside the top four this season. 

But could their summer be even better than their season?

Liverpool’s progress has been sensational, but next season could get even better if Jurgen Klopp and the Reds’ brass have a productive summer window.

Their increased standing in Europe could attract a higher tier of players, and that means that Jurgen Klopp’s already impressive squad could get even better.

However, their business isn’t likely to be entirely related to incomings. Indeed, a bit of a new chapter is required with regards to their current playing squad too. They’ve outgrown a few of their fringe players, and so it’s time for a bit of a clearout at Anfield.

With that said, Liverpool should freshen things up by selling these 3 players this summer…

 Alberto Moreno

Alberto Moreno has never really been able to stake his claim in the Liverpool first team.

He’s made a lot of appearences for the club, but he’s rarely looked comfortable, and this season, his career has taken a real downturn.

The emergence of Andy Robertson has seen his minutes reduce significantly, and at present, there doesn’t appear to be any clear route for him back into the first team.

For Liverpool, Klopp must recognise that he simply isn’t good enough to be a regular.

Danny Ings

Danny Ings has had an unfortunate stint at Liverpool.

He needed luck to go his way when he moved to Anfield from Burnley, and unfortunately for him, it just hasn’t.

The Englishman has had some real injury problems, with knee injuries, in particular, proving to be problematic.

Ings, at this point, simply needs to be playing regularly, and for Liverpool, his injury record will undoubtedly be concerning long-term.

Time to move on.

Simon Mignolet

This is a deal that looks likely.

Mignolet has lost his place at Anfield to Loris Karius, and the latter has impressed since being given a chance in the first team.

Mignolet has been living on borrowed time for a while, and it seems very unlikely that he will ever get a chance back in the first team, particularly in bigger games.

He’ll want to be playing regularly, and so he’ll likely be itching for a move, whilst Liverpool can certainly do better as they look to improve their goalkeeping options.
