A lot of Newcastle fans have been left questioning their Brazilian wide-man Kenedy this season. The Chelsea loanee has been off the pace and hasn’t looked at all like the player they had in the second half of last season. However, they haven’t completely given up on the Brazilian just yet.

The Blues were given a stark reminder that Kenedy still has plenty of time to come good, though, as the Newcastle official Twitter account tweeted him a message today for his 23rd birthday. The Brazilian is still a very young player and has a lot of time to fulfil the potential that Jose Mourinho saw in the youngster when he signed him at Stamford Bridge.
Now, though, after almost 18 months with Rafa Benitez looking after the winger, it looks like he’ll be returning to Stamford Bridge in the summer without any sort of firm interest in a permanent transfer from the Magpies, that is, unless of course, the Chelsea man can turn his fortunes around and become a key member of the side and find the form that convinced Rafa to re-loan him back in the summer.

Easy to forget that he’s still only a young lad, consistency will come over time.

Hope he gets some confidence and gets played in an advanced role. He was class last season

Time he got his finger out. He was a real pretender.

The Geordies are desperate to see some kind of improvement from Kenedy between now and May, and will just hope he can show signs of being the player he was last season.
