Newcastle United are reportedly interested in Bournemouth duo David Brooks and Josh King, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The former, currently valued at £18m, only managed to play in nine games in all competitions in the 2019/20 season as he had to recover from ankle surgery, as per Transfermarkt.

However, Brooks has shown his worth in the Premier League, scoring a relatively impressive seven goals and making a further five assists in 30 matches in the 2018/19 season (via Transfermarkt).
King, currently valued at £14.4m, played a far bigger part in the last campaign for the Cherries, netting six times and providing four assists in 26 appearances in the top flight (per Transfermarkt).
Comparing his stats in the Premier League last season to Newcastle trio Andy Carroll, Dwight Gayle and Joelinton, King averaged the most key passes, dribbles and crosses per game, according to Whoscored.

Both he and Brooks could be available for a cut-price deal as well, as Bournemouth were relegated from the top flight, meaning that they may not be able to demand the sort of transfer fees that they perhaps would have wanted originally.
That could provide an opportunity for Steve Bruce to swoop in for both players, who could well improve the Magpies’ squad going into the new season.
With the proposed takeover by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian (KSA) group now looking unlikely, the Newcastle manager may have to look for some cut-price additions, and Brooks and King could well be those players to drive the Magpies forward in the new campaign on a budget.
