According to The Telegraph, Newcastle are considering a move for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara as they prepare for the possibility of changes in the centre of the park.
The 22-year-old Senegal international has enjoyed another impressive season in France, establishing himself as one of Ligue 1’s standout young midfielders. His performances have earned widespread praise, with Ligue 1’s official X account previously describing him as a “baller”.
Camara’s blend of athleticism, technical quality and tactical awareness has attracted attention from across Europe, but Newcastle are understood to be monitoring the situation particularly closely.
The Magpies are not expected to make a formal move immediately, with any pursuit likely to depend on whether players such as Tonali or Willock leave the club during the transfer window.
Should space open up in Eddie Howe’s squad, however, Camara is viewed as a player capable of stepping in and becoming a key figure for years to come.
