The buzz around Everton here in the Transfer Tavern is palpable, with Toffees supporters eagerly discussing Wayne Rooney, putting us in mind of 2003/04 when the now England captain was breaking through as a teenager at Goodison Park.
But why the chatter? Well, Ronald Koeman has dropped the mother of hints that ‘Wazza’ is a player the club are looking at ahead of the summer in an interview with Sky Sports, in which he talked up the veteran forward and claimed that any player that could improve his squad would be considered. Hmmmmm.
