The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been getting more and more frustrated as days turn into weeks without any announcements regarding their vacant managerial position and no signings coming in the door at Elland Road. Meanwhile, players are leaving, the club announced via the Leeds website that U23 player Madger Gomes has departed for Sochaux-Montbeliard, although the fans have only been calling for Marcelo Bielsa in response.

Whilst the news of Gomes’ departure wasn’t on the fans mind, losing the youngster is far from ideal. However, if the club can make the move to appoint the Argentine gaffer, Bielsa and then potentially bring in Hull City’s out-of-contract forward Abel Hernandez then the Gomes’ news will be much easier to stomach. The club can count themselves lucky just to be linked with a manager of Bielsa’s pedigree and it would be a shock move to see him at the Yorkshire club.
The Whites will be hoping that whoever ends up in charge at Elland Road next season can steer the club to a better season than the one that they’ve just endured. Leeds finished 13th in the Championship after 46 games, despite being top of the league for two weeks in September and being 6th at the turn of the year. The club are currently suffering their longest spell outside the top-flight in their history, with next season their 15th outside the Premier League, although they’ll be hoping to return to England’s top-tier as soon as possible.

No offence, but no one really gives a toss.
All I know is my thumb is taking a battering from constantly refreshing Twitter for some news on bielsa or Hernandez!!— Lee Mitchell (@leeamitch) June 11, 2018

Whilst the fans don’t want to see young players leaving the club, Leeds have bigger fish to fry and it’s understandable that the fans are getting frustrated that no big news has come through yet.
