The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that Jurgen Klopp’s right-hand-man, Zeljko Buvac could be the next Arsenal manager according to a story from Pravada BL. Buvac left the club yesterday on gardening leave, although he’s still contracted to the club and should be returning next season. The 56-year-old has worked alongside Klopp for 17 years but could now be set for a shock switch to Arsenal.

The Liverpool fans propping our bar up are refusing to believe the rumours surrounding Buvac though. The Bosnian is known as ‘The Brain’ for his tactical knowledge of the game although he’s supposedly an introverted character who’s never shown signs of needing to split away from Jurgen Klopp before. It seems like more than a coincidence that Buvac’s split from Klopp after 17 years has come just over a week after Arsene Wenger announced his stepping down from the Arsenal job at the end of the season.
Joining Arsenal wouldn’t be the craziest of moves for the Liverpool number two. Sven Mislintat swapped the Westfalenstadion for The Emirates earlier in the season and both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are at Arsenal who have all previously worked with Buvac when he was Klopp’s assistant in Dortmund. If the rumours are true, Buvac’s departure could provide an opening for Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard to take up the Bosnian’s role as he moves a step closer to becoming the Reds gaffer as so many have touted him to.

So why not come out and just say it? Wait 24-48 hours to go the complete opposite direction..?? doesn't make any sense!
