The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are fully expecting a rather big summer of transfer activity as Antonio Conte looks to whip his side into shape in defence of their title.
So, the first deal involving the Blues being a player exit from Stamford Bridge has come somewhat out of left field. According to recent reports, forward Dominic Solanke is set to leave SW6 and join Premier League rivals Liverpool in what looks like being a £3m deal.
The 19-year-old marksman is a highly-rated talent amongst the Blues in the bar, though they do largely understand the problems young talents face when trying to break into Chelsea’s first-team.
Still, the idea of losing a young English striker to a bitter rival is never the easiest one to get on board with and his imminent exit has sparked debate amongst Blues fans around the world.
