Not long to go: The 2 players that Man City should sign before time runs out

With just over a month left of the transfer window left, Manchester City fans are hoping Pep Guardiola can add a few more names to his squad before the window slams shut in a month’s time.

The Citizens have had a strong window by splashing the cash in restructuring their defence with the additions of Kyle Walker, Danilo and Bernard Mendy all joining the club alongside goalkeeper, Ederson, but our landlord now feels that Pep Guardiola will use the remaining month of the transfer window to strengthen his attacking options.

With that said, the signing of Bernardo Silva falls under an ‘attacking signing’ but the City fans demand a lot more and they are expecting someone with the pulling power of Guardiola to really bring in a top notch signing to propel them into contention for silverware next season, especially given that the Citizens endured a trophyless season last time around.

The debate, as always, has been very colourful and many of the City fans have been very vocal in who they want to see join their club this summer. Our landlord has been listening in and he has outlined the two most popular names mentioned by his resident Citizens.

Let’s check them out here…

Alexis Sanchez

Although PSG look to be the favourites to land Alexis, it is reported that City may be the Chilean’s preferred destination in this transfer window – according to The Independent.

There is no doubt that Alexis is a class player and with the Arsenal man entering the last year of his contract, our landlord really believes that the Citizens can force through a deal this summer but with time running out, Guardiola will have to get his board to move fast to secure a deal which will surely put his side in contention for the league title once more.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

A man constantly linked with a move away from Dortmund, the City fans believe that their club should plot a surprise move for Aubameyang to bring him to the Etihad Stadium.

Alongside this, it is evident that Pep Guardiola’s relationship with his main striker, Sergio Aguero, is not at it’s strongest and replacing the Argentine with Aubameyang would be a move that appeases the City fans if they were to lose such a legend of the club.
