Life is pretty good amongst the Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern right now, to say the very least. Indeed, our resident Sky Blues can’t believe just how late Pep Guardiola’s men are leaving things at the moment, though are delighted to win none the less.
So, with a good mood apparent, reports from the Daily Mirror over the course of the weekend delighted our drinkers even more. They claim the Citizens were likely to snub any moves to take Phil Foden away from the club during the January transfer window, despite reported interest from Celtic.
The Hoops have previously taken Patrick Roberts on loan from the club, though Foden looks to be another case entirely. In fact, some City fans on Twitter have even been slating Celtic for their handling of Roberts during his two-year loan stint in Glasgow.
As you can imagine, the Stockport-born Foden is a popular figure in our bar, as well as amongst the City faithful online. So, having said that, here’s a look at how they reacted on Twitter.
