Not too late: 2 reasons why Chelsea simply must give this talented youngster a chance

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern couldn’t believe their eyes when they walked into the pub earlier this week…

After a relatively couple of weeks, given the international break, the Chelsea fans were brought back to reality by an astonishing social media post made by one of the Blues’ most talented young players.

Charly Musonda was the player in question, who became well known by most supporters following a stellar display for the Blues in the Carabao Cup against Nottingham Forest.

Taking to Instagram, though, the Belgian seemingly revealed his frustration at a lack of opportunity and a lack of support from the Blues, and it really is damning for the Chelsea developmental system.

That said, after impressing so far, the last thing that Chelsea want to do is let go of Musonda. He’s clearly frustrated, but there are a few ways in which they can try and get him back on side.

One thing is for certain, though, Chelsea simply must keep hold of him and give him a chance – and here are TWO reasons why…

 Build For The Future

At 20-years-old, Musonda could really be the future of the Chelsea midfield.

He has proven his quality wherever he has been, and given how expensive top attacking players have become as of late, the Blues simply cannot afford to let him go.

The Belgian offers creativity, technical skill and goals – and that is something that cannot be undervalued.

Is he the complete package? Of course not. But he’s got all the skill to make it at the top, and if Chelsea don’t make the most of that, then somebody else will. They don’t want another Kevin De Bruyne situation.

 Immediate Impact

You couldn’t ask much more of Musonda.

On his first major start for the Blues against Nottingham Forest he scored and put in a very impressive performance, and that said a lot about his quality.

He hasn’t had an opportunity since then, and it makes you wonder what he is expected to do. If he isn’t going to be trusted despite a solid performance,  is there no hope left for him?

Musonda’s talent is unquestionable, and he’s done it on the big stage. He has everything going for him, and Conte simply must give him another chance.
