Many Nottingham Forest fans have been blasting Ryan Yates as Chris Hughton decided to name him in the starting line-up versus Brentford in the EFL Championship fixture.
Several members of the City Ground faithful felt as if it was a very uninspiring choice by the boss given that the defensively-minded midfield player perhaps does not offer a lot of creativity in the centre of the park, which is what NFFC need given that they had only scored a mere 10 goals in 18 matches in the division all season, the second lowest out of the 24 teams, before today’s game.

Yates has only managed to average just 0.7 key passes per appearance in England’s second division so far in the 2020/21 term, and had only created one big chance before today’s match (Sofascore).
