Rangers fans here in the Tavern are hoping for success under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox. Understandably, a number of changes will need to be made after a rather sloppy campaign last time round, with one more signing being craved by our locals. 

The Bluenoses have already welcomed five players to the club this summer, but Steven Gerrard will be looking to conduct even more business as the transfer window progresses.

It’s safe to say that the Liverpool legend has already shown that he means business at Ibrox, with a number of high quality players ready to enjoy a taste of Scottish Premiership football next season.

But, one more big-name signing could finally complete Gerrard’s summer transfer window project at Rangers. The Bluenoses’ biggest challengers will be bitter rivals Celtic next season, so gaining the upper-hand on the transfer front could prove vital.

So without further ado, Rangers need to seal this deal ASAP to finish Gerrard’s project…

The former Leeds United striker managed to bag himself 11 goals and provided nine assists in the campaign just gone as one of Queens Park Rangers’ standout performers.

Rangers could definitely benefit from having him at the pinnacle of their attack, with the likes of Jamie Murphy, James Tavernier and Declan John swinging dangerous balls into the box.

Operating as a target man, the 29-year-old is an aerial threat that can also play some impressive football with the ball at his feet, which is why he was able to create so many opportunities for his teammates this past season.

And, with Alfredo Morelos possibly heading towards the exits, Gerrard may need to keep an eye out for a suitable replacement.
