The Serbian defender has been a staple throughout one of the most successful periods in Chelsea history, and since joining the club he has won nearly everything that has been available to him.
A natural centre-back, Ivanovic switched to the right-hand side whilst with the Blues, and he made it his own for the best part of half a decade.
He has undoubtedly struggled over the last year or so, but he was arguably one of the best in the world for a few years during his prime.
It had been coming, but Chelsea earlier confirmed that the Serbian had left the club in order to move to Zenit – and the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern erupted with applause.
After all, Ivanovic is a hero amongst the Chelsea faithful – and the Blues fans on Twitter had a very similar reaction.
