‘Our nightmare has just started unravelling’ - Chelsea fans have one major concern after thrashing against Bournemouth

The Chelsea fans are fearing the worst after their side’s loss against Bournemouth on Wednesday night. A top-four finish is far from a certainty for the Blues, and so it’s pretty clear that things aren’t looking too good at Stamford Bridge at the moment.

Their Premier League title defence is in shatters, they’re out of the Carabao Cup, and a very tough date against Barcelona is on the horizon. Indeed, what began as a solid campaign is quickly edging closer to disaster.

Their problems were only made worse last night, too, and not just because of the result. Another negative from the game came in the form of an injury to Andreas Christensen – who was forced off with an injury. Antonio Conte has since confirmed that he has a hamstring problem, inevitably raising concern that he could be set for an injury layoff.

Unsurprisingly, this is concerning the Chelsea fans over on Twitter massively. The Dane has been so crucial to Chelsea’s plans this season, and so to lose him, particularly ahead of such a key period, is a massive blow.

This is clearly something that Chelsea fans recognise, with fans taking to Twitter to discuss the blow. It’s fair to say that they are very worried, with one fam even proclaiming that Chelsea’s ‘nightmare’ will now begin following the injury – such is the importance of Christensen.
