The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are still dancing on the pool tables after Monday evening’s events…
The Blues were on fire on the night, and comfortably beat Middlesbrough in a game that was vital for both sides. For Chelsea, the win took them three points closer to a famous Premier League title victory, whilst Middlesbrough, at the other end of the table, saw relegation finally get confirmed at the final whistle.
Goals from Diego Costa, Marcos Alonso and Nemanja Matic were enough to seal the points for the Blues on a night where Chelsea looked absolutely unstoppable.
Whilst the Boro fans in the pub have spent the last 24 hours drowning their sorrows, the Blues fans are jubilant – with many confident that another win is coming on Friday against West Brom – which will be enough to seal a Premier League title win for the Blues.
Unsurprisingly, the fans on Twitter have generated a pretty similar response – with a party mood in force amongst fans of the Blues…
