Crystal Palace journalist Matt Woosnam does not believe that Crystal Palace will regret allowing Andros Townsend to leave the club.
The winger has departed on a free transfer and has since struck an agreement to join Everton this summer.
Townsend spent a total of five years at Selhurst Park and made 185 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals and registering 28 assists.

He was still a key player for the club last season, as he made 34 appearances in the Premier League, providing one goal and five assists.
Nevertheless, Woosnam believes that the deal works for both parties, with Townsend earning a good move for himself by sealing the switch to Goodison Park, and Palace unlikely to be left ruing his departure.
Indeed, they have been aggressive in the transfer market and have brought in Michael Olise from Reading as an attacking reinforcement, while also strengthening their defence with the acquisitions of Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen.
The Athletic journalist said: “So for Andros Townsend I think that’s a really good move, I don’t think Palace will regret it.”
