There is an air of enthusiasm amongst the Crystal Palace fans here in the Tavern, and with good reason.
Some big names have been brought to Selhurst Park in recent weeks, none more significant than the £32 million signing of ex-Liverpool ace Christian Benteke.
Pardew has reinforced well, and he will undoubtedly look to improve his side further between now and the end of the summer transfer window.
Whilst much of the focus at Palace has been on incoming players, there has been remarkably less interest in who might be leaving the club this summer.
Our landlord thinks that there are a few players that – for a myriad of reasons – might be best suited to a move away from the club this summer.
With that in mind, here are THREE players that Crystal Palace must sell this summer…
Frazier Campbell
The Crystal Palace fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are in agreement that Frazier Campbell’s spell at Selhurst Park has been largely disappointing since he joined the club in 2014.
His first season was average at best, scoring 4 league goals in 20 appearances – and last season he was rarely used by Alan Pardew. In the rare instance that he was utilised by Pardew he was poor – failing to score in 11 league appearances for the London-based side.

His contract is set to expire next summer, and our landlord thinks that Palace should look to recoup some of the money that they paid for him before it’s too late.
Zeki Fryers
Another player that has an impending contract expiration on the horizon is Zeki Fryers; and like with Campbell – the Palace faithful in the Football Transfer Tavern think that he has done very little to warrant a new deal.
Whilst some of the Palace hipsters in the Tavern say he’s the next best thing – he will turn 24 in a few weeks, and he shows no sign of making an impact at Selhurst Park.
He has made just one league appearance for Crystal Palace, and that is unlikely to improve by much over the course of the year.
Our landlord thinks that Crystal Palace should look to sell him whilst they still can.
Jonny Williams
This is definitely a controversial one, as Williams is a real fan favourite amongst the Crystal Palace faithful here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
He impressed during this summer’s European Championship tournament with his native Wales, but at Crystal Palace he has struggled to nail down a first-team place in recent years.
He has spent time on loan at club’s including MK Dons and Nottingham Forest in recent years, with his last loan occurring at the beginning of 2016.
If Pardew wants Williams to play then he should be retained; but if he simply does not rate him as a regular starter, which is what all signs point towards – then our landlord thinks that he should look to sell him now.
