The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were pretty happy when Alvaro Morata moved to Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid. Chelsea desperately needed a new forward, and he seemingly ticked all of the boxes. Indeed, their delight was magnified after the Spaniard made a fantastic start to life at Chelsea, and he quickly became a real fan favourite of our resident Blues.
However, over the last few months, that love has slowly faded away. His goals have dried up, whilst the last month or two have been marred by injuries to the Spaniard.
Indeed, he hasn’t played for the Blues since the 17th of January, and given that he’s the Blues’ first choice forward, that has been a problem for the club.
Conte reports that Morata will not be available for Monday's game. He does not know how long his recovery will take. Giroud is in contention for the match.

Unsurprisingly, this news hasn’t gone down too well with the Blues over on Twitter. Indeed, fans have responded to this Tweet from Chelsea in their droves, and many of the responses have been negative.
In truth, it appears as though Morata has gone from Stamford Bridge hero to pantomime villain.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…

What's he doing at @ChelseaFC sell him in the summer, he's useless should've gotten rid of him instead of Batshuayi
