Upon the arrival of Loris Karius at Liverpool this summer, the Reds in the Transfer Tavern were dancing on the pool tables.
With the Merseyside giants struggling in the ‘keeping department, the German’s signing heralded the end to Simon Mignolet to many of the Anfield faithful.
While the former Mainz custodian has had to wait for his chance, the 23-year-old has been impressive thus far in the Kop goal.
Extremely popular on social media, the shot-stopper has revealed on his Instagram how he is preparing for their trip to Swansea on the weekend.
He’s posted a photo of him playing FIFA 17, selecting a match for the Reds against the Welsh outfit in preparation for the weekend.
In the game, Karius appears to be the starting stopper for Liverpool, in place of the divisive Mignolet.
The latter has often attracted criticism after some shaky performances over the last couple of seasons, with Jurgen Klopp making a summer move to improve his goalkeeping ranks.
Should Karius start in place of Mignolet? Let us know below…
