The Belgian seriously struggled last season, but he has flourished under the tutelage of Antonio Conte this year. Offering electric pace, dynamic dribbling and a goalscoring threat to match – the Belgian has been unstoppable this year.
It would appear as though his fine performances have not gone unnoticed, though, with speculation continuing to mount suggesting that the wing wizard could depart Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to Spanish radio station COPE, Eden Hazard has reportedly been identified by Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane as a potential target this summer, with a move for the Belgian particularly likely should the likes of James Rodriguez or Isco depart the club.
This is certainly a worrying scenario for the Blues in the Transfer Tavern, with Hazard a key component in Antonio Conte’s system at Stamford Bridge.
It isn’t all bad news for the Chelsea fans in the pub, though, with COPE also reporting that should Hazard arrive – the likes of Isco and, in particular, James Rodriguez – could move to Chelsea.
Certainly, for the fans in the Tavern, the prospect of Rodriguez joining the club is an exciting one – but at the cost of Eden Hazard, very few are behind this deal.
After all, Hazard has been absolutely invaluable this season – having scored 1o goals and gained 4 assists in the Premier League this season.
