Spurs fans here in the Transfer Tavern are a vocal bunch when it comes to potential deals their club can do, and a few have been casting an eye towards Everton this week amid the Romelu Lukaku saga.
If you didn’t already know, the Belgian striker has reportedly told the Merseyside club that he has no desire to sign a new contract at Goodison Park, hinting that a summer transfer is on the cards for him.
Given that the 23-year-old has hit a staggering 19 Premier League goals already this term – by no means a fluke given his fine record in England with both the Toffees and West Brom – suitors are likely to be plentiful in a few months’ time, and Spurs supporters here in the Tavern want their club to make an effort to lure him to White Hart Lane, even though Ross Barkley is supposedly their major target in blue.
And this point of view isn’t just held within these four walls, with supporters having been asking for the very same thing on Twitter…
Lukaku would be a great buy for #THFC.
