Tottenham will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League following their defeat to Liverpool last time out.

At the time of writing, Spurs were coming off the back of a nice 3-0 win over Fulham in the FA Cup, and heading into a Europa League tie which they were hoping to turn round following a 1-0 loss in the first leg.

Our Spurs fans though here in the Tavern are happy enough with proceedings, and will be hoping to win the FA Cup and qualify for the Champions League once again with a top four finish.

A game today against Stoke City represents a tough challenge though, and the Spurs fans over at the fruit machine have been discussing the things they need to do ensure they don’t slip up today.

Get the ball to Harry Kane

The striker bagged a hat trick in the FA Cup and will be in high confidence.

Last season Kane was unstoppable when he was in good form, and with that sort of form looking like returning, the striker will be hopeful of more goals today.

The Argentine manager will no doubt be looking to move the ball up the field as quickly as possible and get Kane involved in and around the area on as many occasions as possible.

Make sure his players win their individual battles.

One thing is always guaranteed against Stoke, and that is that you are in for a tough old game.

Pochettino will need to make sure his players match and win their opponents in their individual battles, and then hope that Spurs’ quality shines through.

If his players do this, then Spurs should have enough quality in the tank to ensure a victory for the men from White Hart Lane.
