Potential consequences: Denis Suarez’s move to Chelsea

It’s fair to say that Maurizio Sarri has had an instant impact since arriving at Stamford Bridge as the Blues remain unbeaten in the Premier League.

The Italian has implemented his own style and the Chelsea players are responding well to the boss, as they look to challenge current holders Man City and Liverpool for the Premier League title.

Surprisingly though, Sarri isn’t yet satisfied completely with his team as Marca that the Italian manager wants to recruit Barcelona outcast Denis Suarez in January.

Suarez was a target for Maurizio Sarri on two separate occasions when he was boss at Napoli and now it seems he will try again whilst manager of Chelsea.

Having only made one appearance this season, it seems there is no room for him at Barcelona so what could this move mean for Chelsea…

Cesc Fabregas sold to make room for Suarez

With Denis Suarez being an up-and-coming midfielder at the age of 24, it could be possible that Chelsea sell Cesc Fabregas to make room for the younger Spaniard.

Suarez can play on the wing plus any central midfield role and with Fabregas out of contract in the summer, Chelsea would be smart to sell him in January to recoup some money for him.

Maurizio Sarri finally has his man

After twice missing out on Denis Suarez, he has his best opportunity yet to sign him, now he is boss of Chelsea.

Chelsea already have a very competitive midfield, with the likes of Fabregas, Loftus-Cheek and Drinkwater all battling to get themselves in contention amongst Kante, Jorginho and Kovacic.

The desire shown in Sarri to recruit Denis Suarez could mean a changed midfield, something that could make Chelsea even better.
