The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are loving life at the moment.
The Reds are on quite the run, and the season could end brilliantly. They’re on course to finish in top four, and they’re even on course to reach the Champions League final – and none of our resident Reds could have predicted that back at the start of the season.
Jurgen Klopp has really got his team playing well, and that’s a testament to their quality and his quality as a manager.
Next season, then, the logical step could be a genuine Premier League title challenge – and our landlord is backing them to do exactly that.
However, that won’t be possible if the Reds don’t keep their current squad together. All too often in the past, they’ve been forced to sell their most important stars – and that can’t happen this time around. But who exactly in this squad is indispensable?
Here are TWO players Liverpool can’t afford to lose this summer…
Roberto Firmino
This season, Roberto Firmino has emerged as one of the best forwards currently playing in Europe.
The Brazilian matches Liverpool’s style perfectly. Though not as prolific as some of the other attackers playing in the Premier League, his incredible technique, passing and creativity make him a real asset for the Reds.
His fine performances will not have gone unnoticed at other top European clubs, and he’d be the perfect forward for a club like Real Madrid.
The Reds must hold on to him.
Mohamed Salah

An obvious one. Mohamed Salah could end up being the most in-demand player in Europe this summer.
He’s been as good as anyone this season, with the Egyptian arguably even outperforming the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Liverpool, though, clearly need to start building their team around him – because he’s that good.
Only getting better, Salah is at the heart of the present and future of this team.
