Alexandre Lacazette has to start on Sunday according to Arsenal fans

Alexandre Lacazette is still waiting for his first start of the season under Unai Emery. The Frenchman joined the club for a huge fee from Lyon last summer and the fans are desperate to see him start alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up top this season.

The French striker has played in the Gunners first three games of the season but all three appearances have come from the bench, with his 45-minute second-half cameo against West Ham being the longest spell of football he’s managed so far. However, if the fans have their way he’ll be thrown in from the start against the Bluebirds on Sunday as they believe that with Auba and Laca starting together the only result is goals.

In his final season at Lyon in the 2016/17 season, Lacazette bagged himself 28 goals in 30 league games. However, in his first season in the Premier League, he could only manage half of that figure as he netted 14 times in 32 league games. If he can find the form that had him scoring so freely in France then it will be impossible for Emery to leave him out but until then, he’ll be knocking on the door from the bench.

The Gunners are dying to see Lacazette play the full 90 against Cardiff and if does manage to start and to score the fans will be in dreamland.
