Arsenal fans on Twitter expect big things from Eddie Nketiah

Arsenal are a club that always seems to have the next big thing coming through their academy and at the moment, that’s no different. One Arsenal fan took to Twitter to ask who the supporters were most excited about who is yet to prove themselves, and Eddie Nketiah was the clear favourite.

If you have to pick one Arsenal youngster who is yet to become an established player that excites you the most, who would that be?

Eddie Nketiah is a man who certainly knows where the goal is. His poaching abilities, even at youth level, are sublime and the supporters will be eagerly awaiting his emergence into the senior side when Unai Emery decides he’s ready. It was around this time last season when he really announced himself to the fans, scoring twice off the bench against Norwich in a 2-1 win for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.

Since that night, the young striker has had little in the way of opportunities in the first team. The Gunners will be hoping that can change this season but they need to remember that it’s important to monitor the youngster’s game time as to not burn him out. So far it looks like there’s no danger of that, though as the 19-year-old has bagged himself five goals in five appearances this season in the Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy for Arsenal’s development sides.
