Arsenal: Fans excited for David Luiz impact following first interview

It was one of the most surprising deals of the summer, but David Luiz moving to Arsenal was a transfer that indeed happened, and these supporters are already liking what they see.

The 32-year-old Brazilian centre-back joined the Gunners for a reported £8m according to BBC Sport to replace Laurent Koscielny, who departed Arsenal for Bordeaux earlier in the week, and the former Chelsea defender has already made himself a favourite amongst Gunner supporters.
The former PSG man gave a welcome message to supporters via Arsenal’s Twitter account, and supporters were delighted with Luiz’s mature mentality and willingness to help the club get back to the top, and fans took to social media to praise the veteran defender.

Luiz became Arsenal’s sixth and final signing of the transfer window (per Transfermarkt) and the second player to join the club on deadline day following Kieran Tierney’s arrival (per Arsenal’s official website).
