Chelsea have had a great season so far, and even a draw against West Ham over the weekend shouldn't dampen the mood of the Stamford Bridge faithful. Almost every player has pulled their weight so far, and though some like Alvaro Morata have looked poor, it's fair to say that Chelsea have a squad capable of challenging at the top.

One issue that the Blues have suffered from so far, however, is individual inconsistency. Whilst certain players are able to impress on any given day, they're just as likely to struggle the week after. That's what happened against West Ham, with players like Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante putting in poor displays.

Willian has, perhaps, been the most obvious example of that over the last year or two. On his day, there is truly nobody better, but with every brilliant performance often comes weeks of mediocrity. The Brazilian, then, should be a prime candidate to be replaced, and one player that would be an ideal replacement is Ligue 1 star Florian Thauvin - who is rated at £45 million by Transfer Markt.

Right-wingers are becoming an increasingly rare breed, as evidenced by Man Utd's continual struggle to fill the gap, but Thauvin is a natural in the role. He's been a regular in the position so far this season, and he's bagged a stunning 4 goals from just 5 starts for current team Marseille.

Brilliant with the ball at his feet, Thauvin is a game-changing player going forward. Offering excellent passing, dribbling and movement, the Frenchman is able to move the ball forward with ease. Furthermore, as his goalscoring highlights, he's just as capable finishing off attacks as he is making them - meaning that he's arguably the complete attacker.

If you combine the 6 league goals that Thauvin has bagged this term with Hazard's 5, the Blues would be looking at an astonishing 11 league goals from their two wingers - and that's the sort of lethality that the Blues are lacking at present. By signing someone like the Frenchman, Maurizio Sarri's attack would be as deadly as ever - and that would be perfect for a team led by the Italian.

He wouldn't be cheap, but he'd be worth every penny, especially if he's replacing Willian.
