Everton fans have been reacting to the latest reports that the club have shortlisted both David Moyes and Carlo Ancelotti to become the next manager.
This follows the recent sacking of former boss Marco Silva which saw them drop into the relegation zone.
Duncan Ferguson has taken temporary charge of the team and guided them to a 3-1 win against Chelsea, while it has been confirmed that he will lead the Toffees out at Old Trafford in their Premier League encounter against Manchester United on Sunday.
Various reports have linked both Moyes, who spent 11 years at Goodison Park, as well as Ancelotti, who has won three Champions League titles in his career.
So it appears it’s down to David Moyes or Carlo Ancelotti. Two managers not even in the same realm as each other in every way possible. It tells you all you need to know about Everton’s board really, doesn’t it? #EFC

Both Moyes and Ancelotti have vast amounts of experience at different ends of the spectrum, with fans questioning the running of the club because of the apparent scattergun approach to managerial appointments.
Supporters were not impressed with the board’s selections and made their feelings clear on social media.
Here you will find some of the many irritated comments from Everton fans:
Tells you everything about our board that one of them wasn’t even available till last night . #runlikeapubteam

That is like trying to compare a Ferrari with a Reliant Robin. Only Everton could have both in the same sentence. Couldn’t make it up.

It tells us one is stuck in the past and not willing to be very ambitious and the other wants to make a statement and move the club in the right direction

It’s as if the club is scared to step into a brighter future, safety in the familiar

Would Everton be stupid enough to turn to Mark Hughes?
