Loads of Everton fans have been releasing their frustrations on Twitter after their latest defeat, with plenty taking aim at Lucas Digne.
Sunday’s clash at the King Power Stadium may very well turn out to be the nail in the coffin for Marco Silva at Goodison Park, but that doesn’t mean the players are free from criticism.
Several Toffees were below par in the heart-breaking 2-1 defeat to Leicester, with Tom Davies sloppy in possession and Dominic Calvert-Lewin making very little impact whatsoever.
Perhaps none were as poor as Digne though, who is a popular figure on the blue half of Merseyside due to his excellent first season in the Premier League.
The 26 year-old was miles out of position when Kelechi Iheanacho broke away to score the winning goal, and his stats in possession make for very troublesome reading indeed.
Per Sofascore, the France international surrendered possession a remarkable 29 times – no other Everton player lost the ball more than 12 times.

Are we allowed to say Digne has stunk the place out?

Digne has been weirdly poor, as well. So many problems across the pitch. It’s not even a lack of desire, it’s just a lack of concentration and no confidence whatsoever

He needs to sort everything out. Complete liability when it comes to defending that FK was so unnecessary so close to the half time whistle and he caused the whole move by taking a quick throw when he had been told to hold on to it!

Agree he’s been poor today in all aspects of his game.
