Everton: Fans want to see Morgan Schneiderlin leave the club

Everton fans have been pleading with the club to get rid of Morgan Schneiderlin during the January transfer window.

Having deputised for the injured Andre Gomes this season, the Frenchman has been under intense scrutiny following a string of inconsistent performances for the Toffees during the current campaign. The 30-year-old previously spoke to Radio 5 Live (via Toffeeweb) about the role he was asked to do under previous manager Marco Silva as he was asked to retain possession for his side rather than take risks, challenging the negative tag that had been placed on his shoulders.

Schneiderlin, who moved to Goodison Park from Manchester United in 2017 for £20m, has only started nine times for the Toffees this season as fans are crying out for more creativity in midfield. The France international does not provide a great deal as Whoscored recorded that he has provided an average of 0.3 passes per game, 0.1 crosses and has provided one assist in the entire time he has been at Everton. As a result, supporters have run out of patience and want him out the door, making their feelings clear on social media.
