Many Liverpool fans have been discussing an injury update involving Thiago Alcantara that recently emerged on social media.
Journalist Kevin Palmer recently wrote an article for The Sunday World and the piece relayed an update about Thiago’s fitness. The article claimed that Liverpool are currently hopeful of the fact that the Spaniard will be back in the first-team picture towards the end of the month. The midfielder hasn’t returned to first-team training but the Reds are hoping that Thiago can be involved in the team despite some ‘discomfort’ in his knee.
Are you annoyed by Thiago's fitness issues?
Thiago suffered the injury in the Merseyside derby earlier in the season following a tackle by Everton star Richarlison. Before that, the summer signing had made two Premier League appearances for the Reds, featuring against Chelsea and Everton (as per Transfermarkt).
The Spaniard had arrived at Anfield from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window for a fee of £20 million, when he had signed a four-year-deal with the Reds (as per BBC Sport).
This update about Thiago’s fitness left many Liverpool fans talking, when the news was relayed on Twitter by Anfield Edition, and one supporter even called the ordeal ‘insane’.
What did Liverpool fans make of this update about Thiago’s fitness?
It is insane how we’ve only seen him play roughly 90 minutes and we’re this excited. I’ve honestly never experienced so much love for a player in such a small amount of time. I’m so happy rn

Just stop giving us hope please.. Only when I see him on the field that I’ll be convinced

Lie. They’re hiding something, we’ve heard this many times. Also players shouldn’t be allowed to play until the deliberately injured player is fit again.
