Many Liverpool fans have been reacting to reports that Takumi Minamino was valued at £22m by the Reds before their move to sign him.
Should Takumi Minamino be given more time in the Liverpool first team?
The report added that the Japan international had been tracked since days playing for the J-League team Cerezo Osaka, and Liverpool beat the likes of Manchester United, AC Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach to secure his services.
With this in mind, supporters questioned why the Reds rated him so highly having seen nothing of much note having spent 12 months on Merseyside.
One fan even took aim at sporting director Michael Edwards, who has received nothing but praise due to his transfer dealings in recent years.
Fans not impressed with Minamino valuation
“The first Klopp flop”
“Starting to pay off? It’s been payin off since ‘16”
“Good get shut please”
“Michael Edwards may not be it”
“Is that the reason why no one passes the ball to him?”
