Some Liverpool supporters have reacted negatively to a transfer story claiming that the Reds are interested in signing Italy winger Domenico Berardi.

Jurgen Klopp may be on the lookout for another forward this summer in order to provide even more competition for places in attack.

Berardi is a player who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past, having scored 17 goals and registered seven assists for Sassuolo in Serie A last season.

The 26-year-old lost his place in Italy's starting XI at Euro 2020 as the tournament went on, however, and didn't start Sunday's penalty shoot-out win over England in the final (WhoScored).

The likes of Federico Chiesa and Lorenzo Insigne caught the eye more so than the winger, who didn't always stand out in Roberto Mancini's side and didn't manage to score at the finals.

According to Corriere dello Sport [via LFC Transfer Room on Twitter], Liverpool are ready to make a bid for Berardi, with Sassuolo wanting £35m for his services.
