Following their defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup, Liverpool fans are struggling to find positives from the match at Stamford Bridge. Still, one thing that supporters are definitely happy with however, is the growth of Takumi Minamino.
Despite only playing six games for Liverpool since he joined on New Year’s Day, Minamino has impressed these fans with his skills and attitude. The Japanese international boasts 42 goals during his time with RB Salzburg and is recognised for his performance against the Reds in the Champions League (via Transfermarkt).
Jurgen Klopp brought in the 25-year-old to help bolster Liverpool’s midfield but hasn’t had enough time to shine yet given he’s rarely featured in the first-team as the Reds march towards the Premier League title. However, the fans below are seemingly seeing Minamino’s promise and are predicting a bright future for him.
Many fans are praising his ‘electric’ performance against Chelsea, with one fan claiming he could be a ‘future Firmino replacement’…
Positive
Minamino looking class could be our future firmino replacement but he looks nice 👌— Zain (@ZKarimNBK) March 3, 2020
The way Gilmour dominated that match was impressive…Minamino looked like the only attacker who was eager to play imo…ngl he looks like a quality player…needs more chances in the league.

Trust our luck Kepa is having the game of his life. Already denied 3 huge chances.
Minamino by far our best player so far. He looks electric, making clever runs and incisive passes. Just needs a goal.

I personally thought #Minamino was #LFC best player against #CFC although he wasn't getting service in the second half. His passing was spot on, but the one problem was he needs to be more selfish with the ball and take on shots or drive on rather than pass immediately.

Liverpool fans, what did you think of Minamino last night? Should Klopp be playing him more?
